glitches may bug you

Few, but there still might be a some, of us gamers who remember sitting in front of the black and white TV watching our favorite program to which we only had one choice to choose from, with Mom and Dad. Even then the quality was poor, constantly turning knobs and moving around the rabbit ear antenna, we were still under the worst circumstances able to use our imaginations to fill in where the technical capabilities fell short.  Today it does not seem to be that easy and the visual glitches we have in front of us today on the screen are way too intrusive  to try to look through and ignore.

Mike Floorwalker from the The Looper points out, “Glitches have always been a part of video games—in fact, with such complex coding, it's a minor miracle that today's games don't glitch out constantly.”

It is no wonder minecraft has had more than its share of visual glitches with the complex amount of coding involved in creating the game.  I have personally not encountered too many visual glitches in my own personal version of Minecraft.  There are numerous forums out there for gamers to join in on and talk about their experiences with the game and some of their encounters with the glitches.  Many of these forums are older in nature and a lot of the glitches may have been fixed by now.

One of my favorite forums is FTB Forum https://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/annoying-modded-minecraft-graphics-glitch.53462/ where gamers can share information and talk about ways to get around and fix the glitches that may be caused not necessarily from the game coding itself but the system and software the gamer might be using when launching the game.

Some gamers that have been using optifine find that if they remove it, the visual glitches go away. “Yeah, I'm using Optifine. I removed it and that seems to be the problem. Oh well, I guess it's better to play with a good framerate then have weird graphic glitches every so often :/” Phyroxinoid.

There seems to be a lot of gamers talking about their experiences with visual glitches out there but I have found from reading the forums and experimenting with my own system there seems to always been a solution to fixing these pesky bugs that keep us from enjoying the full visual experience when we dive into our realm of virtual reality.

Video Game Designing In Full Swing

The gaming industry is at an all-time high and so is the demand for game designers.  According to, https://www.sokanu.com/careers/video-game-designer/salary/ , a high-end designer can make as much as $62.36 an hour or $129,700 a year.  That is a pretty hefty salary for those individuals who have what it takes.  I actually thought about becoming a designer myself and apparently a designer candidate would have to be very proficient in math. If you are good in math and enjoy gaming, why not make some money at what you enjoy doing.

What does a video game designer do?  Most gamers do not realize the huge amount of work and programming that goes into designing a game.  According to https://www.sokanu.com/careers/video-game-designer/ , “A video game begins with a concept. A proposal is drafted by a team of game designers, who address important details such as target audience, deadlines, and budgets.”  Not all game designers design the entire game.  They might focus on certain areas of the design such as Plots and Story Lines, Characters, Maps, Scenarios, Difficulties, or user Interface Creation.

A video game can be revised millions of times as the designers constantly test and re-write the code while designing the game for the final issue.  Game design is mainly influenced by consumer demand and what the gamer wants and is will to pay for.  Also, the costs of designing the game is a very important factor.  Game design industry can bring in as much revenue as the market will bear which can be over 250 million dollars after all the technical design is finished and the game is marketed for the public to buy.  The average cost of a single video game to play on a machine can be anywhere from about $20 to $50.  The average cost of producing a major motion picture is only around 50 million dollars so one can see the tremendous amount of work and the cost that goes into writing the script and marketing a video game.

Sometimes marketing a video starts in it's infancy with the original concept and famous celebrities are incorporated into the game to give it more appeal to the public.  Then likewise the actor or celebrity will most likely want to be compensated for their contribution to the production of the video game which can be quite a lot of time and effort on their parts.

The gaming industry is booming so we should all get out and get involved in this huge industry that is thriving and mostly likely will be for quite some time.
